Belfast has undergone some dramatic changes in recent years and its transformation continues with yet more regeneration within the city. Today it remains a much calmer place than it has been for years. Much of the city is now pedestrianised making it extremely easy to explore on foot. The Falls and Shankhill Roads in West Belfast, where murals connected with the Troubles can be seen, remain popular tourist sights but the city has plenty of other attractions such as the Botanic Gardens, City Hall, Linen Hall Library, and Grand Opera House.
