Museums

* Van Gogh Museum - Opened in 1973, this museum houses 200 paintings & 500 drawings of the famous artist plus 850 letters to his brother Theo. Home of one of his most known paintings "Vase Of Sunflowers" completed in 1889, plus "Crows In The Wheatfield" and "The bedroom At Arles".
* RIJKSMUSEUM - Amsterdam's familiar landmark possessing an unrivalled collection of Dutch Art, which began in the early 19th century. This huge museum houses the paintings "The Night Watchman" by Rembrandt, "St Elizabeth's Wood" and "The Kitchen Maid" by Vermmer.
* Anne Frank House - A museum dedicated to the story (from a diary) of a young Jewish girl who, with her family & friends for a while, escaped the tyranny of the Nazi occupation, by hiding in the attic of some office buildings. No city break, Amsterdam or otherwise, has an experience evoking many emotions, as you walk through the actual rooms in which the family hid for so long.
